About Siloe Care Ministry
"He sent me" — born from a dream, built on faith, sustained by God's grace.
The Beginning
A Dream That Changed Everything
The story of Siloe Care Ministry began in March 2015 — not with a plan, but with a dream. In the middle of the night, two children appeared. One said: "Can you give me food? I am hungry." The other said: "I have no place to go, because I have no parents."
"When I woke up, I opened my Bible and found James 1:27. In that moment, I discovered my mission — to take care of orphans and vulnerable children. From that day, I decided to help them. But how? I started by going to orphanages, bringing food, and providing hygiene supplies for the girls."
— Founder, Siloe Care Ministry
Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the founder faced immense personal hardship. With a father who had worked in government, his family became caught in political dangers — making even seeking help feel like risking everything. Targeted and living in fear, the founder eventually fled to Malawi as a refugee.
Rather than allowing hardship to extinguish the call of God, it deepened it. After settling in Malawi, the founder restarted the mission with a different approach — going directly to widows' homes where orphans lived, and to communities where vulnerable people were hidden from view. Siloe Care Ministry was born.
Today, the ministry serves widows, orphans, and vulnerable families across Malawi — living proof that even those who have lost the most can become channels of hope for others.
Why "Siloe"?
Siloe — the Pool of Siloam in John 9:7 — means "Sent." It represents showing someone a way when they are blind and lost, guiding those who do not know where to go, and healing that comes when we are obedient to God's sending. We did not choose this name — it chose us.
